Non-Fiction
My nonfiction writing is rooted in personal experiences and often leans into storytelling to explore universal themes like identity, family, and resilience. I strive to balance humor and introspection, using vivid imagery and candid honesty to connect with readers on a deeper level. Whether I’m recounting a chaotic, life-changing night in The Best Day and The Worst Night or weaving cultural reflections into Black to the Future, my goal is to offer narratives that feel both relatable and reflective without taking myself too seriously. At the core, I hope my nonfiction allows readers to see a part of me. while giving them something to think about—or at least a good laugh along the way.
